ARTPODIUM & Art Magnum are delighted to invite you to ‘Timeless Treasures’ a rare and exclusive collection of paintings by Indian Masters – both Modern & Contemporary. This is a virtual exhibition being held being held under the aegis of the Singapore Art week (SAW), from Jan 22-30, 2021.

The show will be inaugurated by His Excellency Mr. Kumaran Pariasamy, the High commissioner of India to Singapore. There will be a preview on Thursday Jan 21, 2021 wherein the artworks will be available at a discounted price.

The show ‘Timeless Treasures’ showcases the vibrant aesthetics and artistic capabilities that emerged in the country as it transitioned from British colonial rule to becoming an independent modern nation.

As India grappled with its new status of an sovereign nation, these artist started a movement to develop their own language – a powerful combination of the indigenous history and the rich cultural heritage of India. As the name suggests the artwork on display are truly timeless and would appeal to all sections of the art fraternity.

The works on display is an eclectic mix of different artistic mediums and expressions. The show has brought together over 50 artworks sourced from private collectors across the world and from some of the artists themselves. They include paintings, drawings, etchings and sculptures by modern masters and most of these works have either been published or have been authenticated by experts and are of known provenance.

As Art Takes Over…
On display will be artworks by Jamini Roy and Ramkinkar Baij from the early 19th century, as also progressive artists of ‘Modern india’ such as S. H. Raza, F. N. Souza, M. F. Hussain, Ram Kumar, K. G. Subramanium, Akbar Padamsee.
Additionally, other featured artists would be prominent names such as Satish Gujral, Jeram Patel, K. Laxma Gaud, B. Prabha, Jogen Chowdhury, G.R. Santosh, Lalu Prasad Shaw, Manu Parekh, Sakti Burman and – Sanjay Bhattacharya, T. Vaikuntam, Suhas Roy, Sunil Das, Seema Kohli, Ramesh Gorjala, Rabin Mandal, Neeraj Goswami, Sudhir Patwardhan, G.R Santosh and Arup Das.
