YEO SIAK Goon b. 1957, Singapore

YEO SIAK GOON started painting since the tender age of 14 years old. His unique, modern, yet timeless style sets him apart from other artists of his generation. For Yeo, the nude brings together his work in other genres, notably in still life and landscape. His work embodies the vital practice of looking at the overlooked and embracing the contradictions between figures, images and objects.

Yeo has represented Singapore in several exhibitions in China, Japan, Korea, France and the USA. He has received three Tan Tsze Chor Awards as well as the First Prize in UOB’s Painting of the Year competition.

Yeo’s notable collectors include the National Gallery Singapore, ARMA Museum in Bali, Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago, United Overseas Bank, IBM Singapore, Cathay Organization, Pontiac Land, and Capella Singapore.
